Emily Fields is one of the main characters in Pretty Little Liars. She is the most loyal of the four girls. Emily is the daughter of Wayne and Pam Fields. Emily is a single child. Her father was with the military and was stationed abroad in the beginning of the first season, which is why Emily and her mother initially lived alone. Later, during the first season, he returned to his family. Her parents are quite strict, especially her mother, and can not initially accept her sexuality.
